Emily Kay: Fashion and Lifestyle That Will Charm You

Blogger Emily of Isn't That Charming is someone who likes to look at life with a positive attitude, and wants to inspire you to do so as well. Her sweet, classic style will always bring a style to your face, and she loves sharing her favorite home decor and travel tips to inspire you as well. She's also a mom, and has documented her experiences with motherhood from pregnancy and as her kids age too. Her posts are very relatable, and will inspire you to think a little more positively along with her.

Emily is a Midwest native - she grew up in Michigan, and after living in Chicago for many years, she moved back to the Detroit area. However, she loves to travel and frequently shares her travel adventures on her blog. She's a great example of how you can explore the world while having a family and building roots in one place. Here are some of our favorite outfits that Emily has shared on her blog and Instagram.

This cute, feminine look is so perfect for exploring Greece, like Emily was in this photo. Her white shift dress has blue floral detailing, which perfectly matches the Grecian scenery. It's also very breezy, which will help keep you cool on a hot vacation day. Brown slip on sandals are comfy, cute, and easy to travel with, and are ideal for walking around and taking in the area. Cat eye sunglasses add some sass and are practical for the sunny weather, but other styles from the top sunglasses brands could work too.

Inspiration comes from anywhere -- colors in nature, outfit inspiration from other eras (I love the style in the 60s and 70s!), and other content creators in the space today. I personally love to look through things like magazines and Pinterest - I'm a visual person, so seeing how others have brought outfits and style to life is a great way to strike up new ideas for myself!

This sweet, girly outfit is perfect for spring, and is also a great example of how to mix prints without looking overbearing. Here, Emily wears an orange printed maxi skirt. The fruit print is so fun and has a sense of humor for the springtime. Emily pairs it with a subtly striped blouse, which adds more interest to the look without being totally overbearing. Her white shoes add a little bit of retro appeal to the look. This breezy look is very comfortable for a spring day, but it's also dressy enough to wear to work or out to dinner.

This charming outfit takes a lot of inspiration from 70s fashion trends, but makes them modern for today. Emily's floral blouse is so flattering thanks to a structured bodice. Puffed sleeves and a peplum waist keep things even more on trend. Her bell bottom jeans make legs look miles long and are the perfect throwback piece. They're also a comfy essential that could work with many different tops. Black boots complete the 70s boho look.

Be sure to follow Emily on her blog and on Instagram for more charming looks.
